The first stage is 188 kilometres long. It connects Mont-Saint-Michel to Utah Beach.
Cycling aficionados as well as lovers of competitive sports and admirers of the efforts deployed by the racers will no doubt detour via the Saint-Lô stud farm to admire other racers – horses!
This stud farm is now specialised in the Norman Cob and French saddles and was instigated by Napoleon the 1st. The stud farm hosts 40 studs at present.
